Covid 19 Update

image2968

Sea Love Charters will continue to fish through the COVID-19 pandemic as we monitor the updates and respond to the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals.  Certain operational changes and practices approved by the State of Florida, St. Johns County, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have been implemented to help you feel comfortable fishing with us and ensure a safe offshore experience for everyone.  On September 25, 2020 Florida Governor Ron DeSantis moved the state into Phase 3, which lifted all restrictions on restaurants and other businesses.  Our fishing charter is now permitted to operate at full capacity.  However, due to continued concerns with the COVID virus, both of the Sea Love vessels will operate at 75% capacity.  Thus, "Sea Love II" will be limited to a maximum of 45 passengers and three crew members and the "Sea Love III" will be limited to a maximum of 23 passengers and two crew members.

The following practices approved by the CDC are currently being followed by the Sea Love staff:

  • Only healthy passengers will be allowed on the vessels. Please don’t come if you are sick and coughing.
  • All tackle is disinfected.  Following each trip, the staff wipes down the fishing tackle with a bleach solution including reel handles, rod butts and anywhere an angler touches the rod.
  • Following each fishing trip, all surfaces (deck, seats, bathrooms, doorknobs, hand rails, and walls) and basically anywhere someone would touch the boat is thoroughly scrubbed with a solution of bleach and soap to keep it clean for the next customer.
  • Staff is queried and monitored daily regarding their health.
  • If somebody becomes seasick on the vessel, the area will be immediately rinsed and sanitized.
  • Records of phone numbers for passengers will be maintained for later contact if necessary.
  • Passengers should bring their own sanitizers, gloves, and face masks.
  • The crew will not be wearing gloves or face masks.

The customer’s health and safety are always a priority for us at Sea Love Charters.  Now more than ever we are committed to providing an outdoor adventure that is safe and fun for you and your loved ones.  If you have any questions regarding our procedures and your safety, please contact us at 904-824-3328.

Sincerely,

Captain Bill Hoge
